Di has been chosen as one of the 4 "Featured Artists" at the Miami Art Deco Festival to exhibit at the historic City Hall from January to the end of February 2009. Artists from all over the world submitted their portfolios and to be selected against this level of competition is a major accolade!!

Now all we have to do is get there!

Di's favourite is the Art Deco period from the 1920's through to the 1930's. The Art Deco period captured the "Age of Elegance" and Di has designed and produced Artwork Fashion Plates to reflect the times. However, the figures have been "smoothed" to soften the harsh angularity of the faces. This has produced fine original examples of the Art Deco style which would fit into the surroundings of any house.

The Art Deco Gallery consists of Fashion Plates of Ladies in Evening Dresses, Hats and also walking their dogs. The Afghan Hound Association commissionned 4 pieces of original work for Crufts 2004 and the Saluki Club followed up with 2 further commissions for 2005.

The Art Nouveau style is also captured, reflecting the flowing lines of this period that preceeded the Art Deco period. More curves, more flowing examples.
