Di has been chosen as one of the 4 "Featured Artists" at the Miami Art Deco Festival to exhibit at the historic City Hall from January to the end of February 2009. Artists from all over the world submitted their portfolios and to be selected against this level of competition is a major accolade!!
Thank you to all the people that I have met at various shows across the UK and abroad and I hope that you have enjoyed your purchases as much as I have painting them. We are in the process of finalising the Shows that we will be attending in 2008, but some favourites such as the Glenn Miller Festival and the Goodwood Revival are already in our diaries. I look forward to meeting old friends again in 2008.
Please take the time to explore our galleries, the elegance of the Art Deco and Art Nouveau Periods, the mystical feel of our Fairies and Pixies, the beat of the Tribal Art and the soul of the Jazz and Blues section.
Each Gallery is inspired by a specific theme. The Art Deco from a visit to the V&A Exhibition in London in 2003, whereas the Art Nouveau grew from the Fairy Gallery as a natural and flowing extension. The Tribal Art has been designed by Di's son, Ashley, from a Senior Art Course Project.
Di was originally trained as a Botanical Artist and some examples of her attention to detail can be seen in the Gallery.
The original artwork can be commissioned directly from Di in a variety of sizes to suit any house. Di will sketch the design for you and e-mail for approval before starting to paint! The final commission is also photographed and e-mailed to you for approval. Even at this stage there is no obligation to purchase!
